Pride month is coming round again and Durham Street Methodist Church is once again proud to be running and participating in various events. All are welcome to join us for any or all of the following:

• March 1st – Members of Durham Street Church will be joining with other churches and participating in the Pride Walk of Support and Picnic from 2pm.
• March 8th – Members of Durham Street Church will be joining Moana Va for a Pride Service at Knox Church from 2pm.
• March 11th – This month’s Spirited Conversations meeting is entitled The Real Story on Puberty Blockers. The High Court granted an urgent injunction to temporarily suspend the government’s proposed ban on ‘puberty blockers’, but courts are yet to make a substantive decision. Dr Sue Bagshaw carefully explores the issues, and the real physical and mental risks for young people. Join us in the Wānanga Room from 6pm for what is sure to be an interesting and informative discussion.
• March 27th – Our fabulous once-a-month Friday Games Night has a special Pride theme this month. Hospitality and fun for all over an impressive array of board games. A child friendly event suitable for humans of all ages, genders and sexual preferences. Bring your friends and make new friends. All welcome, no charge.
• March 29th – Pride month ends with a bang at our annual Pride Service celebrating the fabulous diversity of humanity, queer & straight, CIS-gender and gender-diverse. Led by Rev Philo Kinera and followed as always by sumptuous refreshments.
