Based on resources from Common Grace Aotearoa, our first Spirited Conversation of the year is about “Belonging in this Land: Treaty Basics from a Christian Perspective”. It is guaranteed to both sharpen our minds and quicken our spirits. We will include a discussion not only of what was the history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, but also what it might mean for us now and here. We will also cover the (lesser known) Wakaputanga Declaration of Independence, which pre-dates Te Tiriti.
