A group for people who don’t like groups. This (almost unpronounceable) group doesn’t really exist. It only has a virtual existence on Facebook, but currently has 49 members. It’s a place to share ideas, songs, poems, links, books, prayers, pictures, anything really that inspires or nurtures a progressive, inclusive, socially just spirituality. Created by members of Durham Street Methodist community as a kind of virtual house group, it is open to any who share our values.

The name is a play on Pecha Kucha Nights, and puts the ‘church’ right in the middle of the “little chit chat” (or as I have heard it translated once – “the sound of conversation”). The Pecha Kucha movement is a fascinating idea that has spread like wildfire internationally.

This group is whatever we make it — if each person shared one item a week, it would be a very lively place to be. And if we respond to any posts that strike a chord it would really make it an engaging place.

To get started click on the JOIN button on our Facebook page PeChurchaKucha, to request to be made a member of the group.
