As a part of the CHC IS LIT festival, key sites around Christchurch will be lit up by lighting installations, interactive displays and projections during July, from 6pm until 11pm daily. More than 20 installations have been created and built by Christchurch companies and artists, with locations including Victoria Square, Friendship Corner (the grass area opposite Riverside Market), Park of Remembrance (on the Avon River opposite the terraces), Cathedral Square, City Mall and New Brighton Pier.
And to make our contribution, we will be dedicating the Aldersgate Window as part of our 10:00am Sunday Gathering in The Chapel @ Aldersgate, with Graham Stewart, it’s creator as special guest, and followed by a scruptious morning tea. You can read more about the stunning window, and its beautiful, inclusive imagery here.
This is also the weekend we celebrate Matariki at 6:30pm on Friday 17 June, with a special dinner, kite-making, music children’s activities, and lots of fun. Bookings required for Matariki Dinner with: rsvp@aldersgate.org.nz
