Jim will lead a Men’s Group walk to Washpen Falls, near Windwhistle.
The walk is on a circuit that takes 2 hours and requires “moderate fitness”. As the walk is on private land, there is a charge of $10.
The plan is to leave Christchurch at 9:30am, stopping at Darfield Bkery for a sustaining morning tea (and maybe pick up a filled roll for lunch). Heading on to the Washpen Falls, stopping for a picnic lunch when the group is hungry, or reaches the highest point of the track. Then, it will be time to meander back to Christchurch, stopping for for more refreshments if required – perhaps ice creams at Hororata?
Please let Roger Hamilton know if you’d like to be part of this.
(6 March, as a possible back-up day in case of inclement weather)
