An awesome opportunity for Aotearoa’s rainbow faith community to gather together, make new frinds, be encouraged and connect with queer and non-binary people of faith. It’s also a place for youth workers, parents and pastors who want to engage to learn about supporting and affirming this community.
Keynote speakers include Dr Elizabeth Kerekere (Green MP and long time activist, researcher, developer of health and education resources, and artist), Andre Afamasaga (human rights, community and youth worker, including 11 years as a church pastor, of Samoan heritage, who came out in 2019), and Dr Peter Lineham (Professor Emeritus of history and religion, author and long active in a range of churches and community organisations).
The main venue is St Peter’s on Willis, but will also include a visit to Parliament and its Rainbow Room and participation in the Wellington Gay Parade.
If costs are all that’s stopping you from attending, both the organisers and our parish may be able to assist. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
