Join us on the 2020 Peace Train Bike Ride to celebrate how the community came together after the March 15 tragedies to promote peace.
WHAT: An ‘Interfaith Bicycle Ride’ that builds secular bridges between various places of worship in and around the Christchurch City Centre and to acknowledge all forms of diversity in the city.
WHY: After March 15 last year, Christchurch woke up to a horrid reality and a beautiful coming together of the community topped by the warmth of the Peace Train Bicycle Ride connecting several faiths across the city centre by foot and bikes.
This year we are giving you another version to support our Muslim and Other Minority Communities that reiterate the Message ‘WE ALL BELONG’ and to celebrate how our community came together after the March 15 tragedies to promote peace, acceptance, and kindness.
This ride commemorates International anti-discrimination day.
Our ride puts into action, by cycling quietly together showing our support for the global message of peace.
WHERE: You have a choice of 4 rides, each starting in a different place and converging together at the Al Nur Mosque and then the Commons. Choose the ride that best suits you, each visits a variety of places of worship in and around the centre of Christchurch. Stay tuned for each of the route maps to be published on Facebook.
HOW LONG: You can jump in and out of the ride as you wish – up to 3 hours.
