The second of a 2-part seminar series at The Chapel of the Waves (New Brighton) to empower individuals, and whanau/families to:
- explore alternative ways of celebrating funerals, and honouring and farewelling our loved ones; and,
- support each other well through the grieving process both before and after death.
Sessions will be led by Jim Consedine, retired Catholic priest, and former prison chaplain, and co-founder of the Funeral Choice Collective; and Sheena Dickson and Mark Gibson, local parish ministers with extensive pastoral and community experience. Both sessions will include ample time for questions and further discussion. A koha will be taken. All welcome.
Organised by Te Ara Hou – a partnership of New Brighton Union, St Georges-Iona & Port Hills Uniting parishes.
