Organised by Anna who attends Durham Street Church regularly, last Saturday saw a festival celebrating Ukrainian culture at Aldersgate. More than a hundred people (including many from the church) supported the event, which included live entertainment and performances, an art exhibition, traditional Ukrainian clothing, authentic Ukrainian food, interactive workshops, Ukrainian short films, and play reading by its author. It was also a fund-raiser for the transport costs to ship a container of essential humanitarian equipment to war-affected communities in Ukraine.
